| Jeff Adams-Davis has studied several forms of Chinese meditative exercise and studied T'ai Chi Ch'uan with Jay Dunbar. His class incorporates the principles of T'ai Chi into massage therapy as a basis for body mechanics. When not teaching Jeff is a Program Coordinator at UNCC. |

| Michael Alicia, NCTMB, LMBT, visits us from The Swedish Institute in New York City where he received his training in shiatsu and therapeutic masssage. He began teaching there in 1994. Michael received a B.F.A. Degree from the University of Florida in 1992. His background in the performing arts adds interest and flair to his classroom presentation. |

| Raymond Blaylock, NCTMB, RMT, LMT, is certified in Sports Massage and Structural Integration, and has actively practiced and taught massage therapy for 30 years. He has implemented wellness programs for hospitals, corporations, and institutions of higher learning across the country. Teaching in our program since 1988, Raymond is a dynamic and experienced teacher. His massage marketing and consulting firm, Touch 4 Productions, is based in Tampa, Florida. Currently on leave, we are expecting him back soon. |

| Janet Blevins, NCTMB, LMBT completed Asian and Western Wholistic Health Practitioner and Acupressurist Certifications at Mueller College of Holistic Studies in San Diego. She completed her Massage Therapy Certification in North Carolina at Guilford Technical College. Her classroom presentation is strengthened by her knowledge and experience of numerous unique healing approaches. |

| Cheryl Drake Bowers, NCTMB, LMBT, earned a B.A. degree in Health and Physical Education from Furman University and graduated with the first class at TMTI. She continued her massage training with St. John Neuromuscular Institute training. Cheryl is certified as a St. John Neuromuscular Therapist and a teacher for St. John Seminars. |

| Steve Capps, received a B.A. in Psychology from UNCC in 1976 and graduated from TMTI in 1994. He completed his Masters in Classical Chinese medicine at the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine, is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and licensed in Acupuncture, Steves gentle, caring approach to life and work is reflected in his teaching. |

| Lynda Clay, NCTMB, LMBT, is the Director and founder of TMTI. An active teacher at the Institute, she received her bodywork training at Body Therapy Institute and graduated from NC Wesleyan College in 1974. Her approach emphasizes a strong foundation in techniques, application, and theory while developing natural sensitivity and awareness. A teacher, bodyworker and business administrator for more than 25 years, Lynda brings professionalism and experienced guidance to the program. |

| Kent Crawford, studied at the American Institute of Natural Health and the Soma Institute and practiced massage in Florida before focusing on Nutrition counseling. Currently he teaches Nutrition and works with private clients in Charlotte. His diverse background and experience brings a unique relevancy to the Nutrition course he presents at TMTI. |

| Valerie Gregory-Ehret, NCTMB, LMBT, holds a degree in Emergency Medical Science and graduated from TMTI in 1999. Her practice in Charlotte focuses on Sports Massage. She is well know for her work organizing massage for numerous sporting events in the area. |

| Jill Federal, NCTMB, LMBT, is a graduate of TMTI. She began working as a classroom assistant while in training and volunteered as a teachers assistant after graduation. As an Associate Instructor, Jill continues to develop her professional skills with dedication and passion. Her quiet confidence and calming presence enriches the classroom. Jill has a successful private practice in Charlotte. |

| Lisa Farnick, NCTMB, LMBT has been in private practice since she graduated from TMTI in 2000. A new teacher in our program, she is passionate about bodywork and teaching. Lisa teaches Anatomy and Physiology II for TMTI and also teaches a course in anatomy for yoga students. |

| Heather Hopkins-Teeter, NCTMB, LMBT, is a graduate of TMTI. In addition to private practice, she works in a physical therapy clinic as a massage therapist and PT Tech. Heather draws from a variety of modalities to treat the body and uses education as a tool to facilitate healing by impressing an understanding of how the body works. |

| Claire Miller, RMT, NCTMB, LMBT graduated from the Boulder School of Massage Therapy in 1979 where foot reflexology was part of the 1,000 hour program. Since then she has applied her knowledge to thousands of feet while developing Bring The Feet to Life foot charts and manual. Reflexology is an elective for the program. She also presents Nuturing the Mother as an elective in the program. |

| Sheri Simpson, NCTMB, LMBT graduated with Honors from TMTI in 1992. She has continued her education as a student of St. Johns NMT, Deepak Chopras Magic of Healing and Orthobionomy training. She maintains a private practice while teaching Deep Tissue in the program. Her approach emphasizes understanding technique as well as the physiological effects of massage. |

Susan earned a BA in Education in 1992 at UNCC and studied Acupuncture at the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in Boone, NC. Her private accupunture practice is in Concord, NC. |

| Jerry Gulliot, NCTMB, LMBT comes to TMTI from New York City. Born and raised in Louisianna, he brings a mix of New York sophistication and southern charm to the classroom. His medical education and background as a medical illustrator make his lectures in Anatomy III the best. |

| Joel Tull, NCTMB, LMBT, began practicing massage in 1974 in New York. He relocated to NC in 1976 and graduated from the Carolina School of Massage. One of the first bodywork entrepreneurs in out state,, he founded the Human Touch, a group practice which has employed over 70 massage therapists since established in 1987. Joel now practices in Greensboro and teaches workshops in the U.S. and abroad. His hands-on work synthesizes the best of massage approaches from around the world. |
