Our professional certification program involves 600 hours of training and practical application, which are divided into three units of study with breaks scheduled between each unit.  The courses cover a comprehensive program of body-oriented therapies, anatomy and physiology and approaches to business and marketing.

Upon satisfactory completion of all courses, practical application and satisfactory comprehensive evaluation, participants receive a diploma.

Unit I

The first unit prepares the student to practice massage therapy for the purpose of stress reduction and relaxation. The curriculum consists of 205 hours of prescribed course work as outlined in the following section.

Unit II

The second unit builds on the foundation learned in Unit I and introduces clinical applications of massage therapy. The study of Somatic Psychology supports better understanding and sensitivity, while Deep Tissue, Movement Therapy, Sports Massage and Pathology I give the student additional tools for therapeutic bodywork. Students design and implement a Community Service Project. The curriculum consists of 200 hours of prescribed course work as outlined in the following section.

Unit III

The final unit covers the more subtle techniques of massage therapy with Integrative Manipulation Techniques. Unit III completes the study of Anatomy and Physiology and includes Nutrition and more Pathology. Students polish hands-on skills with Practical Application and deepen their understanding of therapeutic effects of massage with Clinical Research. Personally selected areas of interest complete the program with 40 hours of Bodywork Electives. The curriculum consists of 195 hours of prescribed course work as outlined in the following section.
